So the thing about "record" of the year is that it is better described as single of the year as it is just for one song, not an actual whole "record." As with any year there is a fair amount of politics involved in the Grammy's which makes picking songs a bit less intuitive. But facts tend to make this category a bit easier to choose.
Who wouldn't want The Black Keys or Frank Ocean to take this category? To those people I say I can feel your pain but the facts are that Taylor Swift had the BIGGEST selling record of the year in part because of timing and in part because of the partnership with Papa Johns on release week.
Regardless, it will be a big night for her and while Goyte was the most played song in 2012 of this list, followed by Fun and Kelly, I think that Taylor should take this one pretty easily after being shuned by the country audience and consumed like Pez by the rest of the world.
Look out for Taylor, you will see her alot on Sunday.
