Mark Doty is the only American poet to have won Great Britianâ€™s T.S. Eliot Prize; he was also the winner of the National Book Award for Poetry in 2008. His poems have appeared in many magazines including The Atlantic Monthly, The London Review of Books, and The New Yorker. His poems appear in The Norton Anthology of Contemporary American Poetry and many other collections. Doty is a professor and writer-in-residence at Rutgers University.
Laux is the author of five books of poetry. Sheâ€™s the recipient of two Best American Poetry Prizes, a Pushcart Prize, two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Her work has appeared in the Best of APR, The Norton Anthology of Contemporary Poetry and The Best of the Net. Laux teaches poetry in the MFA program at North Carolina State University.
