Flash Flood Warning Comes with Morning Rain
Posted Wednesday, June 18th 2014 @ 7am  by WOOD Radio News Team

The power outages were nearly non-existent compared to the Tuesday morning severe weather.  Wednesday's storms were no where near as windy, although they did bring rain.

And a particularly gravid band of rain clouds continued to form just offshore between Holland and Muskegon and pushed inland where as much as four inches of rain fell between Norton Shores and Coopersville by 7:30 a.m.

The National Weather Service issues a Flash Flood Warning under 1:30 this afternoon, expecting as much as two more inches by mid-morning.

The government says campers and hikers should avoid streams and warns drivers that even a couple inches of fast moving water can carry your car away.  It's advice: "TURN AROUND... DONT DROWN."
